Birthday Balloon Friends

This week Sami Stamps has a new release called Birthday Balloon Friends. Here is the thumb nail of all the images:

I used the first image "Birthday Friends" and colored it with copic markers. I just received the new die that I used on the side of the card this week in the mail, so I went a little "fancier" than my norm so that I could use that beautiful die by Creative Expressions.

The "Celebrate You" words are a die by LaLa Land Crafts. The butterflies are Martha Stewart punches. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

There is no new challenge at Sami's this week, but we would love for you to stop by and take a look at the new images and the lovely cards the DT have made using them.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #302

Happy Wednesday. Yes, I know it is supposed to be Tuesday, but I totally blew it this week with the Monday holiday (sigh). What can I say except SORRY! I love this week's sketch - it's clean and simple but is open to so many possibility.

We don't have a sponsor this week. Melissa decided to give ya'll a challenge that had absolutely no pressure.  This is just for fun.  This is for you to express your creativity!  Enjoy the buzz of your mojo. Hope that you will play a long even if there is no prize for you.

Here's the sketch....

Let's see what you come up with this week. In the mean time, stop by the Tuesday Morning blog site and have a look at the great cards the DT have made. They are always so creative and inspiring.

Sale at Sami Stamps

It has been a while since Sami Stamps has had a sale, so she decided it was high time she offered one. She asked the DT to each pick an image from the store to highlight and she would offer those images (whichever ones we picked) at 50% off. The rest of the images in the store will also be reduced, but if you want to know just how much, you will have to visit the store yourself.

To see which ones are half off, visit the Sami Stamp blog to see what the DT used for their cards.

My Hubs enjoys trying his hand at a small garden each year. The first few years, he had really good luck with tomatoes, but for the past several years he has been plagued with bottom rot. I don't remember what causes it, but it is very frustrating to have healthy plants loaded with lush red tomatoes only to have the bottoms split open and rot before they can be gotten off the vine. With Father's Day coming up, I thought this cute little image of the Tomato Fairy (which I colored with my Copic markers) and the sentiment (which I made up and printed off on my computer) would make a humorous card for him. A friend of mine also suggested that he would look quite cute on a seed packet looking card or tag. I'd love to see what someone else comes up with for this image, so if you decide to add it to your collection and make something with it, please share with me.

Have fun and happy crafting!

Little Light Shine

Good morning! You haven't seen me in a while, so I'm glad to be back with a Tuesday Morning Sketch for you all. I was out of town and while gone came down with a virus or flu or something, and man was I sick. It has been several years since I've been sick, so guess my body didn't know how to react (LOL). Doing much better now.

This week our sponsor is DeeDee's Digies, and here is our sketch:

I used "Little Light" for my card. The image comes both pre-colored and black and white line. I used the pre-colored image but added a little "sparkle" to the tail with my glitter pen.

I see from the photo that I need to go back and glue the fish-tail part of my sentiment banner down a little better. Didn't notice that at the time I was doing my card.

Stop by the Tuesday Morning Sketch blog and have a look at the wonderful cards the DT have made using this sketch. I am always blown away by the versatility the team comes up with using the very same sketch. This is such a wonderful sketch, I know you will want to join in this week's challenge. Looking forward to seeing what you do!
