What's UP? Have a Look!
Happy Tuesday morning friends. Thanks for stopping by. TMS has a great sketch by our newest design team member, Janice. This is a really fun sketch that has lots of layers and lot of embellishments and lots of inspiration (boy that was a lot of lots - smile).
Tuesday Morning Sketches is sponsoring this week with an adorable stamp set. (I'll insert a photo if I get one, but I have it on the best of authorities that it is super cute.)
Here's the sketch:
My image is an old Stampin' Up set (I think the name was Safari, but not sure) which I stamped with Stampin' Up Mustard colored ink. The base card is kraft, and the matting color is dark brown. The two DPs are from a Simple Stories 6 x 6" pad called Take a Hike. The compass was cut from a piece of DP from the same pad. I matted the compass with brown and then used pop-dot adhesive to slightly lift it. The "grassy/bushy" pieces below the giraffe's neck was made from a hand-punched tree which I cut in half.
Have fun with this sketch! Use stamps or dies or digit images. Create a card, an art journal page, a tag or any other creative way you can imagine. If you want more inspiration, go to the Tuesday Morning Sketches blog and have a look at what the rest of the team have made this week OR join us on FaceBook. You cannot add your card to the FB page, but if you follow us there, you get a sneak peek and a day's head start on the weekly sketch.

I love the pattern paper you used it works fabulously together with the safari theme. Being my first time to your blog I read your profile, and it had me smiling. I too have tried many crafts but got stuck on stamping. Hope you can visit my blog too:) Have a great day.
