Flowers for You
This week's sketch is a little different but I think you will have fun with it. The card actually looks a bit like an envelop, but if you take a minute to visit the Tuesday Morning Sketches blog, you will see how many beautiful looks this sketch can have. It was so much fun!
Here is the sketch:
I started with a mint green textured card. I then used a beautiful triangle die by Die'sire to cut the peach colored "flap." (HINT: If you have this die or any other similar intricate die, sandwich a piece of wax paper between the die and the paper being cut for easier release after cutting.) I used spray adhesive to adhere the flap piece to the card.
That was easy, right? Now the fun part. I used peach, white and yellow flowers (Recollections and Wild Orchid) randomly adhered to the flap. Then I stamped a Just Rite sentiment using Certainly Celery ink (Stampin' Up) onto white card. Punched it into a square and then matted it with the peach.
This card was easy-peasy. It took me about 30 minutes to create (tops), yet it is so pretty! Have some fun and have a go at this sketch.

Oh my, what a gorgeous card you've made here with this sketch! That triangle die is just lovely and seems as if it was made for just this card! Loving the colors too and how I wish SU! would bring Certainly Celery back again! Beautiful card, I love it!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! Love the soft color combo. I need to get some spray adhesive for use on die cuts!
