Poodle Fun From Sami

There is no challenge to go along with this release. This release is a fifth Friday release which we don't have very often. Sami had a request before Christmas to design images for a lady using a poodle. The lady picked the images that she wanted, leaving the rest for Sami to sell in the Sami Stamp Store. Here is a thumb-nail view of all the cute designs in this set:

Now don't let the names throw you. The DT have used these images or most of them) and have shown just how versatile these images can be. They aren't just for Christmas!

I colored my image using Copic markers. I used C000, C00 and C1 to "color" my white poodle.  I colored her little bows a blue-green and added a tiny rhinestone to the center of the front bow. The papers are from Echo Park (The Fine and Dandy pad by Lori Whitlock.) The blue and pink card are from my scraps. The ribbon is also from my stash and doesn't have a manufacturer listed on the spool. The heart was cut using a Joy Crafts die, and the paper flowers are by Prima. The rhinestone on the flower and the tiny one on the dog are both from Recollections. Going with the Valentine/heart theme, I computer generated my sentiment.

Stop by Sami Stamps Blog and have a look at the lovely cards the DT have made -- don't miss all the different ways the DT used this set!

Love Ewe

Happy Tuesday morning to everyone. Thank you for stopping by again. This week our sponsor is  Doodle Pantry!

Doodle Pantry takes pride in creating a diverse selection of doodling styles, from realistic to whimsical, and all of which are family and kid friendly illustrations. Many of their images are provided with pre-colored images along with black and white line drawings so you have the option to color the image yourself.

Our retro sketch was selected by Jessi, and here it is:

I have used one of the images from the Loving Critters set. As mentioned, this set provides pre-colored images and black and white line images, as well as several sentiments. I enjoy coloring, but I also enjoy having a wonderful and beautiful option when I'm short on time. This week, I have used a pre-colored image.

The card base is white. I then cut a layer of solid pink and then a layer of pink checked paper. After printing off the image, I cut the width I needed and then slipped the piece into a circle die so that only the bottom was under the die and the rest was on top of the die and wouldn't cut. For some contract and to break up all the pink, I used a piece of scrap brown card under the image. The buttons are from my stash, and the embossed flower is by Prima. I didn't use one of the sentiments that came with the set, but created my own.

Please stop by the Tuesday Morning blog this week and have a look at the other DT cards, and if you have time, join in this week's challenge.

Retro Sketch Two - TMS

Hello friends, welcome back for another retro favorite sketch for Tuesday Morning Sketches. It has become our "tradition" to start a new year off by having the DT each pick a favorite sketch from the previous year to share. This week is my pick. I really like it and hope you do, too. We also have two sponsors this week. Returning sponsor Bugaboo is here with us, and I have provided a little prize, too.

Bugaboo is offering a shopping voucher for digital stamps.

My prize is shown below; two brand new Inky Impressions rubber stamps:

The past sketch I picked for all of you is:

And here is my card for you:

I have colored the Bugaboo image, "Kidz Girl and Cat" with Copic markers on X-Press brand card. I have cut it into an oval using the Spellbinder oval die and then layered that atop a decorative frame, also a die by Spellbinder. The card base is white 5" x 7" with a layer of green card (Close to My Heart) and patterned designer paper. The sentiment stamps are by Simons Says, and I do not know the manufacturer of the three flower shaped gems. The ribbon is by Offray.

Do go by the TMS blog and have a look at the wonder samples the DT have created this week. Then make and enter your own creation using our sketch for a chance to win one of the two prizes.
