Summer is Definitely Here

Oh my goodness, it has been a while since I've last posted. I don't know where the days are going, but they seem to be flying by rather quickly. The temperatures have been quite high (not totally unusual for the south, but much earlier than normal). The garden has started producing, so have picked fresh blackberries for cobbler, beans, and 'maters and cukes (yummy fresh salads). The grape vines are drooping with clusters, and we are anxiously awaiting for them to fully ripen!

June 10-11, I went up to Greenville, SC to attend two Copic coloring classes with Suzanne Dean. Suzanne is a vivacious young woman and quite an enthusiastic instructor. The day was long, but well worth it. Received a lot of good information -- although I'm not sure it helped my coloring abilities very much (sigh). Twas not for lack of trying on Suzanne's part (grin) -- some students just need a lot more practice, you know!

Thursday my youngest grandson joined the other two in the teen bracket. I just don't understand how they all can be getting older -- I'm not (grin). They are all such nice young men. Although it is sad to see them growing up, I am proud of them and am enjoying each phase of their lives.

My little granddaughter (7.5 yrs old) left this morning for Texas to attend and compete in Tai Kwon Do national competition. She is very excited but nervous. She has worked hard, but she doesn't yet comprehend the number of competitors she is going to face at Nationals.

So, on to the two cards that I have posted at the beginning. I used this week's sketch from www.deconstructingjen.com as my base. Blogger always seems to transpose my pictures whenever I list them for downloading, and that's the case here, too. The second card above (girl in pink) actually matches the sketch exactly. The first card (girl in yellow) is a slight variation. The image for the girl in yellow is from Mo's Digital Pencil, and the sweet little girl in pink is from Wee Stamps.

Thank you for stopping by. I'll try to do better with my posting and not wait so long between times.

  1. I just love all your new cards and especially the two at the top. Are those digi images?

    See you Monday.
