Merry Christmas

This week's sketch is so very pretty. I have changed mine up a tiny bit, so before I go further, here is the original sketch:

As you can see, I changed the oval shape to a rectangular one. I didn't want to lose any of my pretty clip-art vintage Santa.

I started with a tan card base and matted it with a piece of snowflake covered red. I matted my image with the same tan as the card base. Behind he Santa I placed a large snowflake (I believe it was cut with a Spellbinder die. I found it in my scrap drawer, so I cannot remember when/where I cut it.) I punched smaller snowflakes using two Martha Stewart snowflake punches.

I used my Wink of Stella clear glitter wand and colored all of the snowflakes (the large and the small ones). I think you can get a little hint of the sparkle in the above photo. It is really pretty up close and personal (smile).

This is the time of year that I start making my Christmas cards, so you will probably be seeing more in the future. However, my team mates haven't started Christmas yet, so if you want to see some wonderful non-Christmas samples of this lovely sketch, please visit the Tuesday Morning Sketches blog and have a look. Stop by the individual blogs by clicking on the member's name above her sample. Leave a little love on their blog if you like what you see.
