Steampunk Teddy

We are still visiting favorites from last year. This one was chosen by Janice. Here is the sketch:

I have chosen a kraft brown card base. The clock paper is a piece from a heritage pack that I got quite a number of years ago, so I do not have information as to manufacturer. However, the clocks went along with the steampunk theme perfectly!

Let me say, up front, that this card is one of those that shows better in person than in a photograph. There are several things that are not showing true in the picture. The goldish-yellow band across the top perfectly matches some of the clock bodies in the background paper, but you cannot tell that very well in the photo. Also, the three fishtail at the bottom of the blue square are a matte gold color which sadly appear as a blob of taupe in the picture.

Anyway, the little Steampunk Teddy is a My Besties by Sherri Baldy image. I cut a blue square (also perfectly matches some of the clock bodies) and matted it with the kraft. I cut some gears out of the matte gold paper using one of my dies and used them in place of brads on the

This is a fun sketch to use because of the various layers.  I do hope you will give it a try. Our prize for this week is a fun cling stamp.
