The Manger

FAVOURITES

We would love to see your card creation made from YOUR FAVOURITES ...colours, techniques, images, embellishments, scriptures/quotes, use your favourite everything! Remember our 'Twist of Faith' requirement. Your creation should also include a scripture, or quote or an uplifiting sentiment that suits this week's theme.

We are thrilled that D2D (Designed 2 Delight) are joining our sponsor family here at Twist of Faith. It really is a delight to create with Faith's beautiful images! Not only that, but we have THREE prizes to offer! There will be THREE prizes of $5 vouchers to the Designed 2 Delight store.

Designed2Delight digital stamps are whimsical and FUN images hand-drawn by Faith Skrdla. Faith’s love of cardmaking and technology inspired her to venture into the world of illustrating digital stamps in November 2009. Each digi is created with the cardmaker in mind, and is a high-quality, high-resolution image you will use again and again. D2D offers a wide range of images—truly something for everyone. If you prefer "real" stamps, you can find Faith's artwork in rubber exclusively for Whipper Snapper Designs.
My card uses Faith's manger image. This lovely image comes with "extras," too. There are a couple of  sentiments (which I did not use this time), and a star. I used only the manger image because I already had picked the sentiment (inside) that I wanted to use.

After coloring my image, which I printed off onto Cryogen card), with Copic markers, I simply cut the image using a LifeStyle Krafts die. I layered a white card base with the green patterned paper (Keeping Memories Alive), added a white strip punched with a Martha Stewart border bunch and a strip of red ribbon. I then added the chipbord poinsettia (Michael's Crafts), my sentiment (cut with a Spellbinder scalloped die) and a couple of pearls. On the inside, I added another piece of the patterned paper. The sentiment is a rubber stamp which is cut in a circle, matted with red and then placed on the scalloped circle (from same Spellbinder set used for the sentiment).
Do run over to the Twist of Faith blog and have a look at the other wonderful cards my team mates have created for this week's challenge. As always, there are some lovely inspirational pieces for you to feast your eyes upon.
