Any Winged Creature


Hello there flutterby friends!! I am so happy to see you here today!! Our challenge this week is one of our most popular--Any Winged Creature!! Yup, all you flutter by friends who always ask if birds or dragons or dragonflies are allowed--here's your chance to use them--for this week only!!

I looked through my stamps (rubber and digi) and tried to find something other than a fairy or butterfly that would inspire me -- didn't happen -- so I have done another fairy card this week. This little image from A Day for Daisies was colored with Copic markers and cut into an oval shape using a Spellbinder oval die. I used a white card base and a layer of pink card (which I had intended on dry embossing -- had the folder out and everything and then simply forgot as I got going with the construction).

I cut and embossed two Joy Craft corner dies (6002/0126) and a Die-Versions doily die (DVW-4x4-119) from white card (both from Dutch Paper Crafts). I placed the Die Version doily behind my image so that part of it shows. This is a lovely die with butterflies, humming birds and flowers in an oval ring. The corner dies are at opposite corners. I added the flowers and pearls and there you have it. Turned out quite nice, if I say so myself.

    Opps, i am re-writing my comment. This card is so lovely. I had asked which dies were in the corner and i see that you wrote which ones. I love how the corner dies emboss so nicely!
