Flutter By Birthday

This week the new challenge at Flutter By Wednesday is to create a birthday card using either fairies, butterflies or both. I've used an A Day for Daisies image called "Blessing the Flowers" for my card. The image is coloured using Copic markers on Cryogen card and cut using the decorative square from Life Style Crafts. The photo does not show that I added Stickles to the wings and Pearl Ex around the edge and to the middle of the flower. The Stickles add a glitter while the Pearl Ex adds a soft glow.

I started with a white card base and layered a yellow card and then a piece of DP from My Mind's Eye. The green strip aross the paper under the image is from the same DP pad by My Mind's Eye. I cut the bottom portion of yellow card using a Martha Stewart punch, added the green, and then trimmed the top 1/6". The two flowers (yellow on top of cream) are both by Recollections. I finished off the card using pearls in each of the corners.
