Seasonal Colors

Hello my blogger friends. It is time for another challenge at the Card Crafter's Circle Challenge Blog, and this week the DT received images from two wonderful designers, Meljen Designs and Oak Pond Creations. I was assigned this great image from Oak Pond, which I did not mind at all. I like both designers very much, but I've grown especially fond of the Oak Pond designs, and I thought this image to be especially perfect for the start of this fall season.

Because we have two sponsors, we will have two prizes. MelJen's Designs, who continues to delight us with magical images, is providing 4 uncoloured images, and one randomly drawn winner will receive their choice of two (2) digital images from Oak Pond Creations. Two chances to win!

My description and blog entry may be short today. I unfortunately ran into some major problems with my desk top PC, so I'm having to use a tiny Netbook at the moment while the "Geek Squad" tries to resuscitate my PC. I do not hold out a lot of hope, but am praying I will be plesently surprised. I've already lost some recent photos as a result of the crash, so am very disappointed over that.

Anyway, I did color my image with Copic markers. I cut the image into a rectangle, inked around the edges and matted it onto black card. I then took a piece of DP from a 6x6" pad of DP and matted that onto black then onto orange. Using another piece of the DP from the same pack, I repeated the matting in reverse (first orange and then black). Starting with a white card base, I built my card using the different layers and pieces and finished off with three amber colored gems in the upper right corner (yes, those are rhinestone looking gems and not brads although the photo makes them appear more like metal), I then computer generated my sentiment, cut it with just the upper portion of a Spellbinder die and tucked it into the side of the image piece.

Do run over to Card Crafter's Circle and have a look at the other wonderful DT cards, then join us this week by entering your own seasonal creation in our challenge. Bye until next time.
